A Dark Paradise

A place I found deep within my heart
It is a place where I never want to be
Gently effacing my happiness and dreams
Leaving me with grief, jealousy and sadness
It takes away all that is important to me
I know, I allow it to occur
Not thinking of the consequences this place will have
But then even if I want it to go away
I can't, even if I cry
No one can help me, I know it's true
For this place of mine will never be erased in my heart even if I want to
