Locked up in the Past
(by: Aubrey Rose Belita)

I lay there in the midst of darkness
Awake and alone in my stone-cold bed
All I could hear was the sound of water
Falling down from heaven's lair

I could smell the faint scent of tears
Mixed with the icy melancholic air
I watched the pale scent of moonlight
As it glimmers on my jet black hair

A couple of hours have passed
But still I cannot encompass
Myself with those blissful memories of the past

In the darkness I slowly walked
Hoping to destroy the glass in which I am enclosed
someday I know, someone would break
The numbing chain of solitude someone has made
