Derelict Love

My love for you will never last
Unless you change and make things right
My love for you please hold it tight
Until my heart stops beating fast.
The pain from my forgotten past
The hurt and pain I felt at night
The reason why I always fight
Against the words I never trust

But now I guess I must move on
Because I know you are not mine.
That they posses your heart and love.
Teach me to forget, to move on
So I will be happy and fine,
And I can be free as a dove.
